Care Home Regional Operations Director – Essex (Up to £90,000 plus £5K Car Allowance)

 A fabulous opportunity has arisen for a Regional Operations Director to lead our Essex region which comprises 11 nursing and care homes. Four of these homes offer nursing care. The Regional Office for the Essex portfolio of homes is in Maldon, CM9 6DJ.

Excelcare are privately owned and operate 31 care and nursing homes in Essex, Cambridge, London and Milton Keynes. We are a progressive care home provider with a clear vision, strong leadership, and ambitious growth plans. 

As the Care Home Regional Operations Director, you would be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.  You would be responsible for overseeing the quality and financial performance of the region as a whole and to ensure the services are running safely and effectively. You will have the support of your Home Managers and a Regional Team which comprises Quality Development Partners, a Talent Business Partner, Learning & Development Partner, Sales & Marketing Lead and a Regional Administration Manager.

About you

• A Nursing qualification is preferred OR to have a level 5 qualification or equivalent with experience operating at senior level.
• Proven operational experience in a senior Regional Role – Director or Manager, leading a portfolio of Nursing and Care Homes.
• Outcome focused and knowledgeable regarding the changing ways that CQC are inspecting.
• Proven success in developing 'Outstanding' services
• Full understanding of CQC and legislative requirements
• Strong business acumen with understanding of the financials and ability to report this to the Board as required and recognise where improvements and cost savings are required.
• Demonstrable track record of innovation with the ability to quickly identify areas for improvement and impact the results and outcomes.
• Current driving licence with access to own vehicle.
• Ability to build strong professional relationships with all stakeholders internally and externally
