One of your main priorities will be to champion a range of philosophies for residents – everything from privacy and dignity, through to independence and equal rights. You’ll always work to a policy to help manage risks – organising staff rotas while keeping the emotional welfare of residents in mind. The role will also see you hold regular team meetings, identify training needs and implement on job coaching and in-house training.

You’ll be keen to get involved in the re-evaluation of care needs, enabling residents to receive the services that will improve their quality of life. A real team player - you’ll participate in the planning, implementation and management of new developments, meeting residents’ changing needs.  

To join, you’ll need to have a Level 3 qualification (diploma/NVQ) along with experience in elderly, residential and dementia care. Ideally, you’ll have some dementia care training.  With this background, you’ll have a proven record of providing excellent care through skilled team management and development.

You’ll be sensitive, compassionate, considerate and forward-thinking. With excellent communication skills, you naturally inspire trust in others, form positive relationships and confidently talk to a range of people.
