Responsibilities of the role:

  • To work in a nursing and care home in South London within our portfolio of 33 homes which requires improvement.
  • Work closely with the commissioners, families, residents and staff to improve outcomes for all stakeholders.
  • To ensure a safe, compliant, excellent quality level of care is provided to all our residents.
  • To be recognised as a provider of choice within the community
  • The existing team have gone through recent change however they have rallied together and stayed loyal to the home, their colleagues and team. Now we need a caring, strong and effective manager to lead from the front and take the team and home forward.

About you:

  • Application of knowledge and experience to drive improvements to underperformance areas.
  • Developing innovative ways to achieve necessary outcomes and working with teams to do so
  • Excellent delegation and management skill
  • Understanding and being able to ensure that staff teams understand goals, measures and targets which need to be achieved.
  • Able to efficiently manage the rotas through unit leads and management team to minimise agency use and effectively manage costs.
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • A great coach and mentor


  • Care Home Management experience with older people
  • Registered Nurse qualified with active PIN - desirable
  • Excellent leadership qualities
  • A passion for elderly care
  • RMA level 4 or NVQ Level 5 qualified
  • Excellent CQC knowledge
  • Experience of working with improvement and project plans
