Dinardo Support offers good quality supported living accommodation in and around Lewisham and Southwark borough for people who have mental health; drug or alcohol related problems and need professional support and guidance.

We are currently looking for a supported living unit manager to be responsible for the day to day management of our unit, catering for residents with an assessed need to reside in supported living.


The manager will report to the Operations Manager and the Head of Community Services. 

The manager will adhere to all guidance from the Development Coordinator on issues of Quality Assurance and participate fully in the regular monitoring of quality and outcomes.

Role and Main Responsibilities:

You will take a proactive role within the Unit, providing adequate support to residents and assisting in the resolution of practical and emotional problems as necessary.

The manager will supervise the staff in their primary role of helping the residents to live as independently as possible within an environment that ensures that they have a good quality of life and participate as much as possible in the local community.

It is essential that the manager is able to communicate clearly and effectively with GPs, social workers, nurses and other professionals in order that the health and well-being of residents is maintained. You will have to keep good records so proficiency in using computer information systems will be essential in this role.

The manager has a responsibility to see that the premises are maintained in optimal conditional at all times and that cleaning and maintenance are consistently carried out to the highest standards.

You will ensure that the service is adequately staffed at all times and that an appropriate on-site presence is maintained over 24 hours, seven days per week.

The manager will be expected to participate in further training him/herself and be able to instill in staff an enthusiasm to undertake all necessary training and develop further skills.

The manager will keep good records and proficiency in using computer information systems will be essential in this role as you will have to maintain accurate financial records and      

ensure that resident’s funds and valuables are kept safe and that any discrepancies are fully investigated and resolved to the satisfaction of all parties.

You will investigate, respond and report to senior manager any complaints received, they will also seek advice and raise safeguarding alerts whenever evidence of harm to residents is suspected. The manager will ensure that all incidents are investigated and reported to responsible authorities whenever appropriate.

The manager will ensure compliance with all inspection processes both external and internal, you will ensure that fire procedures are clear and communicated clearly to both residents and staff including the organization of fire-drills at appropriate intervals.

You will ensure that a residents’ meeting takes place at least once per month and that notes of that meeting are available residents. The manager must demonstrate that residents’ views are being listened to and considered in the day-to-day running of the service. 

The manager will promote a culture of respect and acceptance of diversity in all its forms.
