Job Summary

We are looking for Lifestyle Coordinator to join the Excelcare family at Primrose Croft care home in Cambridge . 20 Hours a week.

Responsibilities and Duties

To identify and provide activities that enhances the lives of the elderly people living in the Home and to ensure that the Home staff carry these activities on the days and times indicated.

  • To provide outings to suit the needs and interests of the clients of Home, the Homes staff and also relatives
  • To provide a variety of entertainment coming into the Home at least Monthly
  • To ensure the Home has a selection of appropriate activity materials/games available at all times to enable clients to choose what and when they would like to do the activities
  • To identify skills amongst clients and staff to ensure that these are used to their maximum potential thus benefiting the whole home
  • To display the Home activity programmes in all individual flats, entrance halls and Reception
  • To liaise with the Home Manager to ensure that fundraising is organised and supported by the Home staff
  • To promote links within the local community and schools
  • To assist residents with their meals and personal care as required

Qualifications and Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow guidelines and policies
  • Ability to be flexible
