Hospitality Manager for Care Home Group – 35-40k plus car allowance

Role purpose

Working for a quality care home provider in the South of England with 33 sites.  Reporting to the Quality Governance Manager to support and enhance the housekeeping, hospitality and catering teams which we have in each home.

Our head office is based in Bromley however the homes are situated in Essex, Milton Keynes, London and Cambridge.

Responsibility for inspections and audits throughout the network and giving feedback and areas for improvement to the staff teams.

About you

  • Enthusiastic and passionate with regard to ensuring high standards of a hospitality service within our homes – after all this is our residents’ home. Where possible we aim to provide a setting similar to a hotel.
  • Excellent customer service skills – lead by example and instill within teams
  • Previous experience of leading teams within a hotel, hospitality or care environment.
  • Need to have an eye for details and recognise improvments required when you visit or inspect a home.
  • High standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff teams to continually improve ensuring they understand the reason for changes required following your observations
  • A flexible approach – recognising different abilities of staff teams, location, etc.

Requirements of the candidate:

  • Experience of managing and developing successful hospitality teams.
  • A sound knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety
  • Experience of working with and managing budgets, P& L.
  • Experience of recruiting and developing the team
  • Knowledge and experience of fine dining standards.
  • Driver with own car (all expenses will be refunded and car allowance is on offer)
