The Role:

We are looking for a Communications Manager with experience in the Health & Social Care Industry to join our team and enrich our website, social media and literature with new blog posts, guides and marketing copy.

Responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and preparing articles for publication. If you’re familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you. Feel free to share samples of your work or portfolio of your published articles along with your application.

Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.

You will:

  • Researching industry-related topics.
  • Writing clear marketing copy to promote our products/services.
  • Preparing well-structured drafts in various tones and formats.
  • Planning and drafting SEO effective PR stories in line with company policy and GDPR guidelines.
  • Work with key individuals at each of our locations to ensure that all content aligns with organisational and specific project strategies.
  • Producing effective internal communications.
  • Conducting keyword research, effectively using SEO to increase web traffic.
  • Promote content on social media.
  • Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics.
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone).
  • Update website content as needed.
  • Advise colleague and help them to develop content strategies based on previous performance reports and audience insight. 

Skills & Experience:

  • Business awareness and a good knowledge of current affairs.
  • Able to liaise with, instruct and build relations with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
  • Portfolio of published articles
  • Experience doing research using multiple sources
  • Familiarity with web publications
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and respond flexibly.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Qualifications in Marketing, English, Journalism or a related field would be beneficial
