Salary: £45,425 per Annum

Excelcare are looking for a Clinical Development Nurse to provide support, guidance and deliver development outcomes in all aspects of clinical and well-being initiatives.

Main Duties:

  • To provide specialist clinical support and oversight to ensure Nurses deliver excellent clinical care in accordance with NMC Guidelines and best practice.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of clinical best practice relating to care provision
  • To work collaboratively to ensure that evidence based, person centred care is central to service provision, working alongside all levels of the organisation to promote and embed best practice
  • To train, support, develop, advise and mentor staff in all aspects of clinical and well-being development
  • To adhere to and put into practice all company policies and procedures as and when appropriate
  • To effectively manage one’s own workload, prioritise tasks and maintain professional development
  • To support recruitment with the assessment and recruitment of clinical professionals
  • To develop and support overseas nurses with OSCE training, and support all staff with any specialists clinical training, e.g. medication training
  • To develop CPD opportunities for all clinical staff (webinars, tedtalks, research papers, etc)
  • To oversee and support nurse revalidation programme
  • To report on areas of concern with concise reports on problem areas and actions required to ensure each service is compliant
  • To perform any other reasonable duties as may be required.


You will need:

  • Experience of working in a Health and/or Social Care setting
  • A track record of working successfully to implement best practice and innovation
  • Commitment to own personal development
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Flexibility in approach and attitude
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical and workable solutions to address them
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload and a commitment to improving clinical services
  • Ability to work autonomously and using own initiative
  • Registered General Nurse
